Birthday

Birthday is a digital magazine and research platform that questions how we relate to aging, identity, celebration, and the passing of time. Through curated cross-cultural content and unlearning exercises designed for reflection, the project reveals the pressure, performativity, and individualism often attached to contemporary birthday celebrations. Rather than rejecting birthdays, the platform opens a space to explore other ways of marking time through nature, community, reflection, and collective ritual. Birthday invites users to unlearn familiar ideas about age and celebration, and to imagine softer, more meaningful relationships with time, existence, and one another.
