This Master's Final Project examines the evolving role of product design in an era of material consciousness and systemic change. By questioning what lies 'beyond' traditional product development, the research explores intersections between material experimentation, sustainable practice, and speculative futures. The project employs a research-through-design approach to challenge established notions of what constitutes a 'product' in contemporary design discourse. Through iterative prototyping and critical reflection, it proposes new frameworks for understanding objects, materials, and their relationships to users and environments. The work contributes to ongoing conversations within the Master Beyond Product(s) program about design's capacity to address complex ecological, social, and technological challenges while reimagining the very foundations of product-based practice.
