Xerrada
We are the most connected generation in history, yet one of the loneliest. Xerrada is a platform designed for young adults to have more meaningful conversations. The project is rooted in a key behavioral insight that Gen Z are increasingly more willing to open up to strangers than to those closest to them. We use technology as a medium for depth, not distraction. The platform pairs users anonymously for intentional encounters, removing the social stakes that make honesty difficult. We choose a dark interface as it forces restraint with fewer visual cues and builds a low-distraction environment that allows for more weight on the conversation. At the core of the experience is a guided prompt system that moves conversations from light icebreakers into a progressively deeper territory. Xerrada does not promise healing or resolution but rather a space to have raw and unfiltered conversations.
